Reconstructive procedures, including breast reductions, are frequently covered by medical insurance. The Plastic Surgeons at the University of Kansas Medical Center participate in most insurance programs. Please ask the office staff if you have specific questions about your individual insurance program.
Aesthetic procedures are not covered by medical insurance and must be paid for in advance. During a consultation, you will be provided with the cost of any procedure in which you are interested. The price estimate will include the cost of the surgical procedure, anesthesia, the facility and any garments or implants that will be required. Though the physicians do not provide financing themselves, they can suggest companies that frequently finance aesthetic procedures.
We provide you with a free consultation for all cosmetic procedures. However, there will be a $25.00 charge for no-shows and failure to cancel consultations less than 24 hours in advance.
