With age, facial skin develops fine wrinkles and pigmentation changes. Though the hands of time cannot be completely reversed, many changes can be minimized with a comprehensive skin care program. Our physician and nurse experts can evaluate your skin and suggest a program that would best meet your needs. This may involve treatment with a program involving Retin A or alpha hydroxy acid based products, often complemented by facial peels
Botox is now available as an injectable agent for the treatment of prominent glabellar folds as well as other wrinkles that result from facial muscle activity. Botox paralyzes the muscle responsible for the folds and leads to smoothing of the skin in the areas treated. It is not permanent and generally lasts 3-6 months. There are also a variety of injectable soft tissue fillers available that can smooth fine wrinkles, correct areas of depression and augment areas like the lips. Most are not permanent, and each filler has different characteristics. The applicability of specific fillers to your individual problem will be discussed during a consultation.
